I just need to know.......
I would like to know if this level of service with the frequent network wide outages is something that one would find at other hosting companies.
Before coming to vortech I was with a company (prohosting) that seemed to never have a complete blackout. They did have live tech support available by phone but no forum with other resellers. They were not set up like vortech so it is hard to compare the two. I am currently working with a new client who would not be amenable to the amount of down time experienced in the recent past. I must insert a statement here saying that I appreciate vortech and feel they provide extraordinary support in trying to fix problems. I would like to stay here. Is a possible solution to have a Dedicated Server with vortech or would this also be down when the hsphere sites are down? Are there some vortech resellers that use hsphere/vortech hosting for some accounts and place higher need clients with other host? I would be willing to pay more for a few key clients if I could know that there were more safety nets in place. Thanks, b |

I read a few weeks ago, during the last DOS attack, that Brad was going to find a way to make sure that the ENTIRE network doesn't go down when something like this happens. That is, it would only affect a few boxes at a time...
Were there any developments in that area? To be honest, I have a very serious client, who is going to bring in some serious money for me, and I just don't feel confident at the moment about recommending myself as a host for them... that's not good.

I don't recomend clients to my Vortech server accounts if they have a "must be up all the time" priority but the other service I use is a little more costly...

I find the difference here is the involvement of the staff on this board and the speed in which my concerns are address on the phone and through the tt system. In my experience (Since 1995), there is no hosting company out there that can compare to Vortech for product, price and most important, SUPPORT. Now if we could just get that pesky problem with adding users to Windows accounts, I might have nicer stuff to say. ![]()
