DNS (Name Server) Failures
I know this has been discussed elsewhere previously, but here it is again. More than a year ago, Vortech notified its clients that we would be discontinuing the use of Dedicated Name Server Ip addresses, and eventually removing those IP's from the Name Servers. If you are now experiencing problems with this, here's what needs to be done:
Send us a ticket with your Reseller User and an example of a domain that is failing, and we will add the two necessary IP's back to the Name Servers immediately (but temporarily) to resolve the problem at this moment. ***You do still need to update your Name Server IP's in HSphere & at your Registrar or this very likely WILL happen again*** 1) Identify the two Name Servers of yours that are failing, and login to your admin account, then click on EManager/Server Aliases 2) ID the two problem Name Servers and delete their Server Aliases 3) Re-Submit them so that the two correct IP's will be assigned to them 4) Update your Registrar for your Service Domain, giving them the new IP addresses Once you update your registrar, your clients domains will auto-magically get the new Name Server IP addresses. |

I've submitted multiple tickets, but I can't get a reply since my domain is down.
My reseller username is exovis and my domain is exovis.com |

I submitted a ticket for this - thanks for setting them up again. Question - where does a user go that isnt a year old and may not have gotten this information to know this stuff?
Is there a repository somewhere - where a user can go to?

Looking at it now exovis......
ADDITIONALLY: I would recommend that everyone check their Name Server Aliases at this time to make sure that the HSphere Name Servers reflect these IP addresses: ns.hsphere.cc (DNS Server) 65.57.231.100 ns1.hsphere.cc (DNS Server) 65.57.231.120 ns2.hsphere.cc (DNS Server) 216.157.129.251 ns3.hsphere.cc (DNS Server) 216.157.131.129 |

shadowfyre-
What is your Reseller Username? I'll add your IP's back for the time being too, if you like. As far as I know, we don't delete threads so everything discussed here should be available and accessible. Incidentally, if you came 'on board' after we made this change/notification, it shouldn't have affected you. |

affected url : itecnethost.net John, not sure why but it did effect me I came onboard in July but hsphere assigned me the old ips i guess ![]() I made the changes you told me to in my control panel and had my registrar change the ip numbers they informed me it would take 12 hours to resolve to new ip numbers so if you can fix this faster I would be indebted my clients are breathing down my back.

The main problem with this whole this is we removed all the unused IPs over a year ago but H-Sphere left them on NS and NS1 so they still worked as they should and every time we reboot it removes a few at a time. Last night it seemed to of removed a lot of them and users that did not make the change there sites went down.
We are going to add them back this time but this will have to be the last time. Everyone should be able to switch over to the IPs listed above and will never have anther DNS issue due to the IPs being lost.

This is due to the DNS issue, try using the reset button there it will just set it back to the default so you can get in and fix your DNS like above.
