added CCV, will I need to update all CC's

Under Moderation I had checked "moderate everything" assuming that everything that I could have also checked in that section was moderated, but I guess not.

So I decided to also check ip address and CCV as a safety net.

To see what changed, I logged into one of my existing accounts and noticed that it now had a space for CCV. Since I had this from when my client signed up, I entered it in and the system submitted it to my credit card processor as an authorization only and verified the number.

Questions:

1. of checking moderate everything, dos not actually moderate everyting, should I be checking all the other boxes there too?

2. does anyone know if I now have to go ot my other accounts using credit card as payment and enter in a CCV number?

3. and if I dont, will the other account charges now fail on the next billing cycle due to a lack of a CCV number?

Make certain you have a valid e-mail address under Settings| Moderated Signup. I typo-ed my address and didn't get notifications. I'm not certain this will solve your problem, but it's something to look at.

Yea, got that right, but I was always under the impression that the check box, moderate everything, meant it would do everything including all the other check box options. Guess you still have to check moderate everythingAND the other check box options you want. I Will have to read the new 2.4 manual in detail before I waste space on the forums again with a question that is probably answered in the manual. Wish there was a hard copy I could buy.

Wasnt the moderate issue reported as a bug shortly after we went too 2.4 to psoft already? under 2.3 it did mean moderate everything iirc (though at one time it didn't and psoft fixed that but it seemed to get unfixed with 2.4).

Then again, I may be thinking of a completely different issue.

Moderation Not Working . . . as I expected. I submitted a ticket, but thought a drop my first post in the forum as well and see if there are any H-Sphere gurus that can set me straight

I don't have my Merchant Account setup, but when I order a "Without Billing" plan with a Domain Registration it goes through without moderation.

I tested it by the following Settings>Signup Guard (Moderate Everything, and also check Moderate Domain Registrations).

Is this a bug in 2.4 or am I configuring it wrong?

thanks...Scott

guess it was, thanks...

I took the pdf file down to Kinkos and had it printed and spiral bound for $32.00.

It works for me...
