Need Help Adding NS2 and NS3

Folks,

I need to ad the new Name servers to me E. Manager.. it does not give me the option to add the new ones. I cannot even delete the old ones.

I have been away I looked through the forms and could not find a step by step for updating the name servers in reseller panel..

Can some one post the process somewhere or direct me to the thread.

Kinda odd that you can't even delete existing ones, something sounds a little screwy there

[copied from H-Sphere Manual]
To add a Server Alias, do the following:

Select Server Aliases in the E. Manager menu.
Set your server aliases for each host in the Reseller`s DNS server aliases section and click Submit. These server aliases must be registered with your domain name registrar.
Name servers and the corresponding IP's for each of them will show in Reseller`s DNS server aliases section.
Set your server aliases for each host in the Other reseller's server aliases section and click Submit. These server aliases must be registered with any registrar.
*Important: until your name servers are registered by an accredited registrar, they will never be recognized by servers across the Internet and none of your reseller domains will work. It usually takes about 2 to 4 days before these name servers become active across the Internet.

Well the new ns servers are not even showing up as an option to add. I had to create a custom DNS record for both of them. I dont know why they dont show up in the server alias screen.
Usually when a new server is added I have a choice of adding it. but that is not the case here. pretty strange..

I have done this several times before.. this time it does not show the servers anywhere in my E.Manager

You should submit a TT if the nameservers aren't showing up in your alias list. I wouldn't recommend adding custom DNS for this in lieu of setting it up properly, though.

Which nameservers are showing up for you in the alias manager?

Not sure why yours didn't work. Did you start by going into server aliases and not the dns manager like their instructions. I know that usually new servers show up in server aliases as well but maybe they do something different for nameservers and you need to start in dns manager. The instructions they sent out a couple weeks ago seemed to work pretty well and it says to start in dns manager. who knows?

ns3.hsphere.cc will be turned on for signups on October 23rd, 2003. Since this is a nameserver, you will need to register the nameserver with your registrar. The IP address for ns3.hsphere.cc is 216.157.131.129. If you do not register the nameserver with your Registrar, then the DNS for your new domains will not work properly.
To add the server alias:
1. Login into the admin control panel.
2. Click E.MANAGER 3. Click DNS Manager
4. Click edit button to the right of DNS zone
5. Click edit button to the right of your instant alias address
6. If there are logical servers that need to be added, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Add records to all listed logical servers"
7. Click Server Aliases under E.MANAGER
8. If there are server aliases that need to be added, scroll to the bottom of the page click Submit.
9. Allow 4-12 hours for changes to take place.
10. We are adding servers on a regular basis. Doing this once or twice a week will help keep everything up to date.

I only Have the old ones ns and ns1. Its very strange I have done this several times this time it does not even show up in the server alias. and the delete option on the old alias is not even available any more. I havent signed any new customers in a while .. I figured I will do it once a new customer is added.

I will create a ticket and remove the custom record.
