Basic access question?
Hi all,
Just wanted to know where do I store my Access database to make sure it is secure and can not be downloaded or hacked by unauthorized people.. Thanks. |

Store it below the web root, IE, the domain name is gofarter.com, make a folder BELOW the one called gofarter.com and call it DB or something, then put the DB in there and make a DSN or an absolute path in ASP to call it up.

I did exactly that, but when trying to upload the database to the DB directory, I got the error, saying
"CuteFTP can not open the directory, make sure you have proper permissions" ....???? Any Ideas ...!!! |

Yea, try smartFTP or WS_FTP I never got cureftp to work worth a hoot in all my trials with it.

Don't you mean "above" the webroot ? ..semantics I guess, you say below, I say above
