I am with @mail. All my clients like it. ;-)

The good thing is, I never faced any serious problems in using @mail.

Just recommend "simple" interface for your clients. I have made custom login (as mentioned in another thread), give "simple" interface as the only option. I have even hidden the other options for selected clients.

I say it again, I WITH @MAIL. That looks more professional than any other system we used earlier.

Horde or Something better

Unfortunately I have many clients that use web mail almost exclusively and have had a boat load of support calls from end users with a limited experience in web applications, that can't seem to use common sense when trying to log in - so obviously my vote is for the simplest EASY to use web mail application possible. Also have had many complaints of @mail crashing browsers which I can vouch for myself - happens frequently.
So I vote Horde or something better than @mail.
But whatever you choose please do it soon. thanks.

Cool

@mail has the features and interface that will attract and retain customers as long as it remains stable. It does seem a bit slower (makes sense), and Idunno how viable it would be to keep Horde around since about 20% of your folks like it.

I'm voting @mail. One the considerations in coming over to Vortech was @mail. I included some of my customers in my decision to come over, and they all gave @mail the thumbs up.

I wasn't here when Horde was around so I can't dis it - and from some of the commentary in these forums, I'm not sure I want to, there were a lot of happy users. But, we've all got to move with the times don't we?

I'm definitely for @mail. It has a few bugs, but overall I'm very happy with it, as will my customers be - when I eventually get them over here.

Thanks for including us in the decision Vortech.

Lightbulb @Mail

Hi,

Stick with @Mail, our dev team have a lot of new changes in the pipeline and will endeavor to improve the software.

A cronjob will also be setup to backup/archive the mySQL database so no user data will be lost again.

@Mail is the way to go, however, please make sure it can recognize mail servers. Refer to my post for suggesstions:

http://www.matrixreseller.com/forum/...pagenum ber=6

Also, mail needs to be taken a tiny but more seriously by Vortech. In my last 6-8 months that I have been with Vortech, there have been at least 3-4 times I can recall when mail has had some serious problems such as the mail servers being down and rejecting incoming e-mails, or worse when outgoing mail never goes out without any notification to the sender that there was a problem. I am not complaining here, but just offering my 2 cents to help you understand what some of our frustrations are. I have been with several hosting companies in the last 7 yeras, Vortech is by far the best -- I have no reason to compalin

Im voting for @mail.

Personally I really like it, even though it is small it looks very attractive that my clients really look forward using it.

But if you can't keep the bugs down I'd go with Horde if it's more stable. I'd like my mail to be reliable.

ramjet, I agree, 99% of the sugestions I believe would be mutually acceptable, and a long term benefit for @mail to have, and even advertise, in the future.

And if it brings us a more solid, good looking mail interface int he long run I am 100% for it! But, that being said, I don't want to run beta stuff on a server that is needed so much by so many.

gotta go with @mail here to.

Most of my users use outlook to check and send mail, but when they are on the road, they like to see the similar @mail interface.

I would continue investing in the pontentiality of @mail, no sense to make a step back.
Better looking forward, even if more functions and complexity means more problems to solve at the beginning.
