I want to thank all of you for your answers and support. I'm heading to a VPS from a different provider. Going to try some of the things that have a hard time working in a shared environment.

Good luck with the VPS . . . I truly think you'll like it. And depending on the provider . . . you may see me there as well.

I truly believe that different situations require different solutions and from experience, the shared hosting environment works great for many things, however the VPS or dedicated box works great for many others. I utilize many resources in my ventures including the wonderful folks here at Vortech and their reseller plans.

Biggest advantage of the VPS is that you get the "freedom" and "control" like a dedicated box while enjoying the "security" that if things go amuck, it's someone else's problem and they are there to fix it.

When Vortech cancelled cPanel accounts years ago I found a great VPS provider and I am very happy with it. VPS has it's advantages, but a big H-Sphere cluster has it't too.
