7/16/2005 Webmail browser issue.

It appears that the simple template for webmail may hvae some issues with FireFox. This appears to work fine with Opera and IE. Also, THe advanced template for Mozilla 1.0+ seams to work fine with firefox.

Just a heads up. We will be working on this but it seams like it is going to take some time to resolve.

I like the speed of Firefox, but theres still loads of issues compatability wise - seems to go crazy when 'wysiwyg' editors are included on a page....

My first issue. :-)

The HTML editor on the Compose pages is only 2 rows high! its unsuable. It loads full but then shrinks! :-)

Running IE 6.0.28 with SP1

Edited: this only happens in the simple layout.

Haven't seen the problem with the HTML Editor using simple interface in IE 6.0.29 with SP2.

In both IE and FF though, the Default (Simple) interface doesn't allow you to set any mail security settings from the interface (that I could see).

The Default is the only interface that allows you to see any additional imap inbox folders in a tree view. To get to another imap folder in the IE or Mozilla views takes 2 or three clicks.

What happened to https ? Doesn't seem to be working any more. Also, I have a custom login form, so I'll probably need to redevelop it... why no email notice? (maybe I missed it)

I didn't think the old @mail supported https.

All I had to change on custom login forms was the option value and text for IE 5.5. to value "xul", text "Advanced - FireFox/Mozilla 1.0+"

Ah, https isn't working - I was trying to figure why my custom login didn't work anymore...

All changed back to http it now works.

Does anyone know whether https will be turned back on again?

It might be but the system us running faster and better then has since we got it. Let us finish testing things and fixing bugs then we can move on to https because that does put some load on the system.
