Wow. One of our biggest hosts here in NZ just got blasted by this notorious dude from Turkey.

Turns out the servers are actually in the US. Got me thinking... how in the heck does he do that! And... yikes could he do it here? (I'm betting, no way )

That is interesting. I googled a bit and found this site http://www.stokia.com/news/iskorpitx...-hack-info.htm which links to a suspected form that causes the issue. From what I can tell, this is only an issue on IIS servers that are not configured to protect subordinate files/folders (below the web root) from writing. Just guessing, but it seems possible that once he finds a host with lax security, he can write the file to the root directory and then execute to all sub folders by simply recursing through the dir tree.

But then... I'm just guessing.
