We do a full vacuum about every 3 months or so, as the DB keeps getting larger it takes longer it use to take about 2 hours but it seems to taking longer, I will allow for a little more time for the next time we have to run it.

Old IBM trick when upgrading to a new mainframe would be to thottle it back at first, then open it up as more users were migrated to it.
Kept the early migrators from complaing that the new machine got to be just as slow as the old one after more users came onboard even though their actual response times would be 2 or 3 times faster.

Also effected how much you had to pay for your licensing too, most MVS/VSE licensing is MIPS based (as are many other products too IMS, DB2 and even CICS iirc) and if you turn off an engine or two you pay less until you actually need the horse power.

Is there any problems with Frontpage extensions after CP upgrade?.

I have rcvd two compaints so far from clients and they say they cannot open any of their sites from Vortech servers for editiong. I too checked it and see some kind permission problem.

This may be the probem Soky was referring to.

I have already opened a ticket and would be glad to see feedback from other resellers who use Frontpage Extensions to edit/upload their sites.

Just finished a long FP editing session on NT3. No problems there.
Don't use any FP server extensions though.

Brad's already got the biggest cluster in existence, so as far as psfot probably knows the maximum limit is however many servers Brad happens to have installed and working

Well said Brangwyn, we have been the largest and seem to still be. We really don't know if there is a limit. As long as the CP can keep up then there would be no limit. Right now its a dual xeon with 4 or 6 GB of ram with raid if I remember right. Our next jump would be to a 4 way AMD 64 with a 64bit OS. It might be able to take maybe 25 or 50 more servers but maybe even more. No easy way to tell since no one has passed us yet in the number of servers under one H-Sphere cluster.

EDIT:

Also this is why we seem to find odd bugs in H-Sphere even when we wait, we just have so many systems I guess. But even when we wait for upgrades and patchs we still find bugs.

Good question DigitalSkyline I will wait for matt ( Bladesnitz ) to answer that one. It would be nice if it could work now.

I know Psoft is working on 2.5 now and I saw something in there about API but can't remember what now.
