Changing registered NS at GoDaddy

Changing registered NS at GoDaddy

As many of you are aware, we are required to change the IP addresses associated with our name servers. I use GoDaddy and I had a heck of a time figuring out how to do this. I read many KB articles and even wrote to GoDaddy support but I guess I did not make myself clear because the resulting advice was not applicable. I finally called GoDaddy and OH-MY-GOSH, it could not be easier once you know which link to click.

I registered my ns – ns3 a while ago with GoDaddy, that was not so hard... but editing the existing one is a little tricky. This is what I did... (at the step by step instruction of the GoDaddy TS guy on the phone)

Select Domain Manager
Click on the domain name that the ns is associated with. (No check box, just the name)
On the right of the screen, the last option, Domain Host Summary click the plus sign.
Then select the “ Click here to see details or to modify. link at the bottom.
It’s that easy.

I thought somebody might be able to use the assistance... or at least the chuckle at my own ignorance.

if you have a lot of domains and like godaddy check out their club, bluerazor.com, about $1 cheaper at renewal, ssl's cheaper, free expiring domain list, etc.
