Extending the session expiration time?

I have a login system for my visitors (based on a session) but the session expiration time it's too short and the system logout the visitors. So I need to extend this time to 30 minutes at less but I can't find how to do this in my Hsphere control panel.

Any idea?

Is it an asp application? If so, you can set it globally in your global.asa file.

Session.Timeout = 5

(minutes)

some of the windows machines got a 20 minute limit set for sessions. I'm guessing you're using a windows machine.

I don't know that Brad will change that. We tried to convince him long ago, but it was argued that too many people were leaving their sessions open for too long.

What is the timeout you're seeing now?

Try Session.Timeout = 30

Actually didn't Brad reduce it a while back, I seem to recall about 8 months or more ago talk about the default being 5 minutes or thereabouts and brad not budging on that, I would guess the newer servers no-ones bothered to change the default 20 minutes so they're all at least set to that.

Yeah, my memory is fuzzy, at best.

I thought there were a couple of Win machines he was considering capping, but don't know whatever happened there.
