Question Site Studio: thumbs up or down?

Does anyone have clients using Site Studio for their sites and in general, how would they likely rate Site Studio?

I have only one client using Site Studio but I'm considering recommending the tool as a sort of geocities alternative and as a quick web-presence builder for small businesses. I'd luv to get some "real-world" feedback from other resellers about Site Studio before I go out on a limb and shot myself in the foot (yeah, yeah, a mixed metaphor). Thanks.

It's a no go if you need a multilangual tool.

[Other than that, it's usually full of bugs and slow.]

I just redid a quick test. Speed is now good.

Since we moved Site Studio to its own system Site Studio has been more stable and has a lot less bugs as it did when on the same system as the CP. It should also be a lot faster now as well.

I took a look at it when I first signed up, I personally find most of the template to be just plain ugly, however I am somewhat picky and it might have been upgraded since.

Will the new 2.x version allow any customization of the templates by resellers?

Example: I'm positioning Site Studio as a low-cost, ad-free alternative to Geocities and Tripod for kids. The 1st trial of this uncovered an 'add daily joke' option on the 'humor' page that created a a joke with seriously inappropriate language. So, I need to disable this 'add joke' option. I'd also like to add a simple link on the footer of each page to my hosting site.

What is the chance that these things will be possible with the new version?

I'm not sure 2.x is coming out since 1.6 is in beta right now.

There is another product called Site Studio that can be bought, but it has nothing to do with Psoft.
