Exclamation Absolutely Horrible Response Times

Sorry for the shouting, guys, but will everyone please chime in here, because I need to know whether the rest of the world is getting the same experience from my websites as I am - namely: UTTER MADNESS, complete unusability, DISGUSTINGLY SLOW - useless!!!

Please take a moment to visit http://ericfoy.com, just click a link or two, and let me know if your page loads are taking over 30 seconds.

Thanks. I'm desperate. I'm out of breath. This is killing me. I gots to know...

-Eric

I've got a few sites that I've been monitoring over the last few days, pretty terrible response times to be honest Average response time over last 7 days has been 6 seconds on one site, with the highest responses being more like 25 seconds .. when the site is running normally, response times are consistently just under 2 seconds.

Same, here.....got about 5 sites on a specific server that has just horrible response times. I had to set my monitoring system to allow for 12+ seconds of page load times or I will be just flooded with e-mail alerts.....

NT47 and UNIX8 seems to be the main two I'm getting complaints about currently.

We know what the issue with NT47 is, Unix8 is still being looked into.

Thanks Clayton.

Something I just struck on my own boxes too, if you're running W2K3 SP2 then you'll want to get hotfix KB934903 it's an on session_end bug which can potentially cause some heavy memory usage on the box basically session_end never fires so all session variables stay in memory.

If you need it just email me and I'll send you a copy of the hotfix.

Brangwyn,

Thanks for that KB. Have not seen that one before.... Wonder if that might also be the issue for NT48 where I am seeing issues with all ASP based site...
