Question Plans VS. Users

Hello,
I want to have 20 websites over my new reseller account.
I will be the one managaing all of them.

* Shall I develop one Plan, and Register each website individually?
Or
* There is a way to have all websites in one Control Panel, where I can control all from?

thanx for ur help in advance...

i just setup my plans (they dont have to all be the same plan) and then register new websites(with what ever plan) under my service plan account. This way they are all just under the same login.

Silverbug is hardly a Junior member

What he suggests is exactly what I do also. Any customers that HAVE to have their own Control Panel get one, but those who don't I just dump into my service domain CP - that way there's only one login for all those domains. Makes it very easy to manage, plus frees up your HSphere CP's for when you really need them.

Silverbugs been here for well over 6 months bobi and contributes a fair bit to the forum here actually.

His advice is good advice too keeping them under one logon using one or more plans is probably the easiest way to manage things if your customers don't require their own control panel.

bobi if you haven't already done so, have a read of this thread here

A lot of answers to things you've been asking the last couple of days can be found in the customers only forum.

Firstly: Silverbug thanks a lot.
Sorry just wanted more opinions.

Secondly: If I allocate for my service plan 100 MB, would this make all my other other website 100MB each.. SO 20 websites will make it 2000MB?!

Third point:
How do I add other websites? Do i do this from Add Domain? or from Signup or from where?

Have you read the H-Sphere documentation at all bobi ? It's quite comprehensive.

You add new domains via the control panel, you only need to use the singup form if you wish to create a new user/account with their own control panel.

H-Sphere documentation can be found here

http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation/
This one in particular for resellers http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation...ler/index.html

And Vortech have some great little flash tutorials here

http://www.matrixwebhosting.net/foru...=&threadid=574

And the support system also has a knowledge base with other tidbits of info in it here

and concerning webspace, when I add new Domain Names.
Does all count the on the same space, or each has it's allocation space.

AND
is it possible to increase webspace after a while?

if you add multiple domains under one control panel, they share the total that you allocated, so no need to worry about space there.

you can always go back and increase space by re-editing your hosting plan that those domains are under, or raising it directly in your CP (if you haven't set hard limits)

there is actually no disk allocation per website . the disk allocation is per Login or Per CP account . Meaning , whatever you have alocated to a particular plan , that will be avaialble as ttoal to the user account that is signed up in it .
Now if all the domains are in your Service domain , then you are somewhate better of ... i will explain . But what happens is the disk space is distributed among all the domains within the same domain . There is NO WAY you can specify any specific aount of disk to any particular domain . If the domains you add are in a General plan , and theis account has 7 domains to share on 70 MB , any domain can hog as much as 50 MB even .
Now the benefit with having your acounts inService domain loginis that IT is Unbillable , so there is no immediate Overage charge .
BUt as i said , there is no way you can bind specific disk allocation on a domain wise , but on a account / login wise.

I set up 2 additional plans besides the Service Plan for my use

Service Plan
MyWindowsAdmin
MyUnixAdmin

I then setup one account in each plan.

They are all set to no billing and I spread my personal websites throughout them as needed.

You do need to remember if you setup a new account that has a cp it goes against your free accounts. So I used 3 accounts for my purposes and I have multiple domains in each. I set the initial disk space in the accounts low to start with and since they are no billing accounts upping the disk space is easy.

Three accounts mean three logins though just on your own accounts. I believe Branqwyn or Silverbug put a script out there for loggin in if you have multiple accounts. Since there are only 3, I have them memorized.

Mostly I'm in the reseller and I just do a search and login that way. as I do to view my clients' cp.

I also got tired of having so many windows open, so I modified my cp so that when I logout if automatically closes the browser window if it was a popup form search, if not a popup it asks me if I want the window closed, otherwise I changed it to send the browser to my main website(I can send it anywhere, the main site just works best for me) and not the hsphere login.
