email host suggestions for large emails
i feel kinda bad asking in here, but i need to know for a client...they really can't have just a 5mb limit--for whatever reason...hosting will stay here, but i am looking for suggestions on an email host that will allow larger attachments...
any input would be appreciated...

actually yeah i would like to know if anyone knows of someone who can do this. Idealy i would like to just keep the mail with matrix, but for those clients who cant afford a limit it would be good to know of a company who can provide this.

I've been thinking I might just set something up myself, would probably work ok for you SB as I might make the server NZ based, also considering something US based as well.

I lost a potential client on Monday... an engineering company building a new £1.6m factory.
Went to see them about server / network solutions, IT support and designing a web presence.... problem is they send large files via email to various clients (mostly India). When I advised about the 5MB limit they laughed.... -> suggested FTP but they wasn't interested....... I know FTP is just as easy but at the end of the day 'they' are the clients (or would have been) and what 'they' want goes..... As it is I lost a very good opportunity over something as trivial as email....

I did have the same problem, as I have many customers that need to send large email files. Please PM me for details on what I did.

ftp is easy but not if you are a mac user (which most of this guys clients are) and to quote him "people are stupid" so he just wants a bigger email quota.... funny thing is, i did some searching today and couldn't really find any...and i do not want to buy a dedicated box from someone else, just to run email--ugh...

Well some of these people may find they will not be getting what they want and may come back. (Just cause you want something doesn't mean you'll get it
)I have seen most major isps/hosts going to a much smaller limit in this unless they are using their on intranet...even then. This is a fairly recent global trend. Sometimes people have to be forced to do the right thing!![]()
