DNS propgration most likely, they've got a cached entry for www in their local cache or ISP's cache.

I had one of them the other day too, at the time there were issues with that server so I just put it down to that, though I also had a real hard time the other day changing some DNS records so perhaps there's something up with one of the nameservers?

Is there perhaps something in the code that's redirecting? the base URL for sites under HSphere is the domain name, the www is only an alias and this can cause some software to have issues .. perhaps it's a PHP path issue? is this a Unix or Windows hosted site?

Check your joomla config.php, make sure the base URL for the site includes the www in it.

Same thing happened to me the other day - No A records created on a new sign up. I waited the allotted 48 hours and it didn't come up so I put in a trouble ticket and sure enough, no A records.

If that happens you can just click the button in the DNS editor to recreate the default "A" records, that worked fine for me.
