Hello,

CPanel4 is currently down for maintenance. We are bringing the server back to the office to repair. It froze up and did not boot back up. There was a problem fsck'n the home partition and now its complaining that the /home volume does not exist. We will update this thread with progress.

I have nothing to tell them...

Can you tell us what the plan of action is.... i.e. restoring server from backup, etc. Can you provide a timeframe for repairs to be complete.

I know you are moving the server from the data center to the office (and then probably back to the datacenter).... which will add to the downtime.

Any further details you could provide would be helpful.

*UPDATE*

We have the machine back online right now. We are having to restore the entire /home filesystem from backups. Our restore speed is limited to the 100mbps network. We are *ESTIMATING* the entire process to be completed within an hours time. So the estimate for all sites working is 4:30PM EST.

This is the same machine with a new hard drive installed.

I have customers calling saying they are losing emails....not to mention they are having problems checking mail and getting to their websites.

I guess no response to RAID means "no RAID".

PLEASE get the server running reliably again. :Please:

I just got of the phone with tech support and the emails were being bounced because the server's hard drive was full and the server couldn't save the messages.

Do you have anything on your system to monitor hard drive usage?

Hard Drive is still full
I'm getting FTP errors because there isn't enough room on the server. Please free up some space.

We are working on that issue, we already have a 2nd drive in the system.

that's excellent , anyway why cpanel don't have RAID ? cpanel not support it ?
