The issue with mail7 at this time appears to be the fact that instead of only 1000 connections we are having 11000 connections, we are currently working on fixing this issue and should hopefully have it fixed just as soon as possible.

I couldn't agree with you more... I too have a customer that has been severely impacted by this problem. His confidence in my ability to provide quality service has been damaged beyond repair. As a responsible business owner, I would be remiss if I did not explore new opportunities.

Most disturbing to me is the lack of urgency to repair such a widespread e-mail problem. What a bummer... vortech used to be so good.

This is my first post, and unfortunately it's out of frustration. I've been a Vortech customer for over 3 years and have watched this provider, and the reputation of my company's hosting services go steadily downhill.

Tonight I will be deleting a customer's account on MAIL7 and re-signing them up in hopes of landing on a somewhat stable server for the short term. It appears as though this is my only option to stabilize my client's email.

The unreliability and disruption of service has forced us to evaluate other hosting companies and we plan on moving as soon as we can.

Angry This has caused me to have to move 2 clients! but more probs

I have to move two clients to one of our dedicated servers because of this. But when I went to access these sites via ftp to download the latest files, the ftp doesn't work.. So I login to the control panel to verify ftp info and the control panel spits out a "Generic Error" with no info. Well, that's just great! Not only has Vortech harmed my clients with this email snafu, but now the sites are also hijacked and cannot be moved until Vortech resolves that issue also. It gets worse.. Tried to call customer support (24/7 live support - ya, ok), no answer.. Even tried sales.. 5th time calling - nothing! We will be moving all our clients away from Vortech.. The reason we are currently using vortech is for clients that had a need for windows hosting.. We are going to move the simple sites (that just have a few asp forms) to our dedicated linux boxes and redo the forms in php and move the others that we cannot migrate (due to asp shopping cart, etc) to InfoQuest (I have friends using them and I hear nothing but good).

This is just unacceptable service from Vortech and it happens all too frequently (been a customer for 3 years).

Does Brad aware of this issue? He usually act on these things and get techs to fix soon as possbile. Or Brad has no intrest in this business anymore?

This mail 7 issue was not fixed for almost 5 days now. We are right at the weekend and i don't think this will get fixed over the weekend as well as level(3) is not working on weekend.

Also, NT40 is having a issue for over 14 days now. We can not add a single domain to customer on NT40. That was never fixed as well.

I have no idea what to do from here after....

Okay guys, we feel your frustration, it's extremely frustrating to us also. As for calling sales I'm not sure what time you tried to call but I answer every sales call (unless I'm on another call) I'm only here from 8 or 9 am to 6 or 7 pm. I only know that I answer the phone, I hate to see this frustration, we are unfortunately well aware of this. In the future though calling sales will usually not help because if I didn't answer for support chances are it's because I'm personally on another call. I can't speak for our other tech's but this mail7 issue has been a huge pain for you and us. I assure you this is our highest priority. Please bare with us while we fix this issue. Here's a temp fix which I'm sure most of you will not be willing to do but I'm throwing it out there just in case. If you do not have a large amount of mail boxes turn off mail services (just make sure you have all of the emails written down and you have your mail saved) Once this is done turn it back on and you will be on another mail server, just recreate your email accounts. I'm aware that this won't help people who have numerous email account/mail coming in all the time. As soon as this is fixed we'll be updating here.

people's biggest frustration is not being told what is going on. if the fix takes more than a day, let people know. if you dont know how long it will take tell us that. just let continue to let us know it is being worked on. these long silences make us think you guys dont care

Now we are losing all emails... i losing on my primary domain... and my customers too...

<samuel@DOMAIN>:
216.157.145.27 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts; no valid cert for gatewaying (#5.7.1)
Giving up on 216.157.145.27.

I think you can tell us last post before you remove all domains from your rcpt file...

This is unacceptable...

we have been backing up mails via IMAP and transfering to new mail servers for the past 24 hours as we failed to asnwer our customer. we have more domains to go over next 24 hours. our biggest concern now is, if we dont get this fixed today, we will have to wait till monday as the weekend at doorstep.

So if we turn off mail and then turn it back on and setup the email accounts, will they immediately begin to work? or will there be some time for propogation, etc.

Thanks,
Randy

Why don't they temporarily setup a different server and point all the mail that would normally go to mail 7 to it. Turn off mail 7 and that is that. Is this possible?
