rejected email by destination
Okay... i'm stumped... and I accomplished a trouble ticket and they're stumped too.
Here's the deal, one of my customers here in Bowling Green is trying to write her husband at "Fruit of the Loom"... I have personally set up her email client and she is not having any trouble sending or receiving email to or from any other organization. I sent the headers to TS and they replied that the email should be properly delivered... since it is not... I post it here for your comment... (From 'dfrancis' Matrix reseller) Hello, I have an issue where the destination server is rejecting email from the hsphere.cc mail servers... I have enclosed a copy of the response below. The destination is Fruit of the Loom here in Bowling Green Kentucky and the originator is one of my resold accounts (QualityTravelers.com)... please look at the below error and let me know what you think. ==================== Hi. Yeah we emailed them and the response was "this should be fixed." So its a problem with THEIR mail server.

As of this morning... it was not “fixed”... I have the recipient issuing a help desk ticket internally... holding my breath for now... but still trying to figure out the cause.
Am thinking a firewall setting... it is failing from any mail*.hsphere.cc address.

It fails from anwhere. I do a MAILFROM statement and it drops me. Simply doesn't accept basic RFCs I guess

It turned out to be their firewall settings... they just completed a thorough Firewall audit and it has cause a number of issues.
Thanks for looking into it Matt... I appreciate it.

Okay... I just had another one...
Is there any way to use the mail.qualitytravelers.com email server instead of the hsphere.cc server on outgoing email headers? It would appear the cc extension has been tagged as "spam friendly"... the latest issue was with "arubagrand.com" with the same symptoms as fruit.

Yeah, get your own mailserver
![]() There is no way I know of. That is where the mail is coming from. That is how mail headers work. they have pretty strict regs. That is a dumb filter.(cc) They could change it to anything tomorrow. I don't like filters that penalize stuff like .biz. Some normal people actually have those. |

I had the same problem some time ago (2 years?) with EDS main email servers. Could not get mail through to people at EDS. They had a new "security" guhru. Finally they had enough complaints that they made common sense changes.
