I suppose this the end-user pricing. Hosted application licensing will have to be cheaper. There is also the open-source version which is free.

In any case, the flash demo was a great magnet for my attention. The colloborative features are great.

Differences between the open source and the "Network edition"

Zimbra: what version
The Zimbra Network includes all of the functionality of the open source release plus the following:

• Some additional features
  • Attachment indexing & attachment rendering in HTML
  • Hot incremental backup
  • Smart, on-line mailbox restore
  • Hierarchical storage management
  • Clustering for automating failover
  • Fast mailbox move
  • Coming soon: Support for Outlook/MAPI connector with full support for email, group calendaring and contacts
  • Coming soon: "Over the air" mobile client synchronization

To me, at least a couple of those features sounds worth having in an webmail application...

Zimbra: Pricing
The Zimbra Collaboration Suite Network - Standard Edition is available for $28/user/year, with a minimum of 500 users. Additional users are $28 per user and can be purchased in 50 user blocks. The Standard Edition includes license, support and upgrades. The Standard Edition includes Premium Support: knowledge base, Zimbra support portal, e-mail, phone and 7X24 crisis support.
Small Business Edition

The Zimbra Collaboration Suite Network - Small Business Edition is available to $1950 per year for up to 50 users. Additional users can be added to the system for $1950 and this includes rights to an additional 50 users. The Small Business Edition includes Upgrades and Basic Support: knowledge base and Zimbra support portal. Enhanced Support can be purchased for $3000 and it includes four support incidents via e-mail or phone including 7X24 crisis support.

$28 - $39+ pr user is be a bit on the expensive side if you ask me. (Ok, to be honest it's way to expensive...) Although they have a contact us option for service providers.
