So I have to go in and turn on ASP for all my domains on NT28 now? Where do I send the bill to?

actually i stand to be corrected - its only for some asp/asp.net sites - so it seems you manually got to check each one

My sites are all up and running, but the SSL's seem to be gone. What can be done about this? Do I have to re-apply the SSL Certs?

Most of my domains had to be reset by turning ASP off then back on, deleting the server alias then rebuilding it, just as suki noted previously.
I guess we need to make a note that we have to go in and tweak on every domain after a backup restoral. Don't forget the domains on your customer accounts as well. It would be nice if there was some kind of batch script we could run to do those. Each domain I had to tweak took 10 clicks, not counting reloading the site to see if it came up. Not all that bad if you are blessed with high speed internet, but on dialup it would have taken me a couple hours to restore all my sites since each click is a page reload.

Well i really thought that i could rely on your "restore", but even now sites are not accessible.
i will try the WWW. alias and turning things on and off, but this should not be neccessary, i was really relying that they would just work again. one account has a instant alias of : d5588846null93null ??? |

oh just great, just logged in via ftp to a customer account, all his files and one domain folder is missing, will shoot off a ticket now.

Same thing there, to fix the instant alias, turn it off, then back on again. I agree, this is unacceptable. Not sure if the problem is due to how Vortech does backups and restored them, or if it is an HSphere bug, but it obviously shouldn't be like this. One disappointment after another today.

If your SSL is not working, you will need to reinstall it so it will work again.

What version of IIS is running on NT28?

Can someone clarify - should everything be working now? My site just comes up at "NT28", but when I log in to FTP, all my files are there. I don't want to go fussing with ASP settings and stuff if the Vortech guys are still working on their restore - can someone from Vortech comment. As far as you're concerned, should it all be back to normal or are there still restores happening?

It's been real quiet on the Vortech side since they decided it was "fixed". I think they're leaving the rest up to us. Read back several posts in this thread for how to start getting your sites back up.
I guess we're just lucky they made backups at all and we don't have to rebuild our sites from scratch.
