this is for a dating site which is located at www.kapuwa.com. we currently use a hosted chat from www.sigmachat.com and pay about $13/month. we have the following problems with that

(a) since it is developed using java, not all *old* web browsers support it
(b) it make a connection to the chat server on a port which is generally closed on most of the firewalls, so we have problems.

having a flash based chat and doing the communication over http (port 80) i thought i can overcome the two isses.

http://web.icq.com/icqchat/frames/po...ickname=&wait=

the above link - that is what gave me the idea to ur flash with IRC.

do you guys know a better solution?

pepy chat is good but that is asp, i need a one with php. i saw www.123flashchat.com, that will not help me becase it requires a deamon to run on the server, which i can not do on the matrix shared host.

best regards

Have you checked out HotScripts? They have a Flash/PHP section.
