How To revent Downloading Of Files

I read in a post that I can prevent downloading of my access database by placing them in a directory outside the site directory. Is this what was meant by that:

UID: ABCDEF (root)
Site Dir: Mysite.com

Place them like this?

ABCDEF
DirOfDatabases
Mysite.com
other folders

Can I use this method to prevent downloading of any files I choose?

Thanks

That is correct - storing databases in a directory above your domain directory will make them inaccessable except via a DSN.

You can put any files there that you want - root to the directory is:
c:\hshome\ABCDEF\storagedirectory

But for DSN, you only need to enter the path relative to your login root because HSphere already knows that path.
