My guess is that if they gave us an estimate it would be a wild shot in the dark and not of much use. I am just glad to hear the lack of stress in the tone of the updates we are receiving.

Yep, I'm glad that so far we haven't had any problems (*Knocks on wood*), but we do need to get the database converted to UTF-8 in order for improved performance and to be compatible with our upgrade CP, and unforutnatly, it takes a long time to convert 3.5+GB of data :/

Final database import should take 20-30 minutes. Could take longer. Dump took about that long.

Once thats done, we'll bring CP up, and I'll check some things, and hopefully we'll be good.

This will cause approximately 1 hour of downtime for the Control Panel.

Still importing :/ DB is up to 4.2GB, so I'd say we're 50-75% there at least.

What's the outlook folks? I've got some pretty pissed off customers on my end....

Its still going, should not be much longer, once the import is done we should be set. Then we just have to do the windows servers but that should only take about 20 to 30 min for them all.

It was said that after the hsphere stuff was upgraded that the weservers would also need to be rebooted. Will our customer sites be done as long as hsphere?

Hspere the customer can live with out for the day but if the site is down for as long that can create probs.

The sites are not down, just the control panel.

OK, CP is back up. We're looking good, but still checking various things. SiteStudio is also down for a few more minutes.

The control panel is back up. We are now begining the Windows server update portion of the Hsphere upgrade. This will take a couple of hours but it shouldnt take any sites down.

oh... I have hard coded the login form for various accounts... could that be the issue?

Yep, CP is hung. Busy catching up on daily tasks.
