The forum should be backup tonight and off site monitor should be done on friday. It will not be IPmon it will be Hybodus and you should be able to see a little more info with Hybodus then you could have with IPmon. It will still only be for the "network" not the servers from out side. There would be no reason to check servers from out side the network if it was down and if its up you will be able to check the status here.

Brad, this is unacceptable!

It is absolutely necessary to have the servers in the monitor, as we resellers still have NO WAY to know for how long our individual servers are down for.

If we ask for downtime credit, how do we know what the time blocks are that things were down? And this Hybodus, can it do histories like IPMon.

Please just get a system and stick with it. Sorry to be so upset, but it's getting a little ridiculous around here with all the back and forth.

Ok I have had a few drinks now that the network is fixed. But I still want to answer you.

If the NETWORK is down and this is what the out side monitor would tell you the servers would also show down. We have a monitor inside the network that shows you the servers up/down. We plan to switch that to a new system at some point but we have to wait on them to finish the work we need done.

We can toss IP mon back up, we have really only switched our inside montor once from IPmon to IPcheck so I am not sure what you are talking about going back and forth. Any way it should not really even matter if we switch every week its out software and we have to switch we have to switch for what ever works best for us. We do change with times you know..

But of course an out side monitor is going to show servers down if the network is down thats just common sense there so why even have them on a remote monitor. There is NO REASON at all and makes now sense for our side of managing things. If you don't like the way we chack things I guess you could use a service and pay them to check the servers for you then it does not have to change for you when we we eather update our software or change our software to make it easier or better for us.

Remember the monitoring was really designed forus not the resellers we are trying to find something that works for the reseller and us at the same time. You only see half of what we use and do here.

Man this looks like some other company I'm very much involved with, trying to do all the repairs and solve all the problems on your own, sometimes this just doesn’t cut it, you have to know when to let go and out source some of work. If some on can do, it for you faster is cheaper in the long run.

Off site forum is all fixed and working again. Matt will be working on hybodus Network Monitor tomorrow and get it all installed for the off site network.

This will give you full "Network" data from out side the network. We will also be working on getting something inside the netwoks once we can that will also give YOU full data as well so you can see when things are up and down and what have been been up and down.

Brad, I mean back and forth because for the longest time IPMonitor was up, and it was very helpful for resellers since your SLA requires that we specify the exact downtimes when requesting downtime credit. Then you switched to IPCheck, really without addressing how we could get historical data for requesting downtime credit. Then IPCheck was at issue during some recent outtages, and you threw up IPMon again outside the network, with switches only, then you added the servers, then that server went down. That's what I mean by back and forth. It just hasn't been consistent like it used to be.

I did not realize it wasn't for us too, since we were given access to it. My apology for assuming that. But it really is necessity when we're asked to provide exact downtimes. That's my main concern.

Well at first it was not really meant for customers, but it seems to help so we are trying to get it more geared to the customer but at the same time help our backend. That can be a little hard with closed code.

http://66.194.198.60:8080 Login:guest Pass:guest. this is the start of the new off site system. Its not fully working yet but once it is it will have EVERY thing you need for off site monitoring, then we will finsih up the inside of the network with the same system.

I dunno about using software named after something that's been fossilized for millions of years - lol
