Emails to New clients
I may be asking an old question but a quick response would be nice. I want to set up h-sphere so that when someone signs up for a new account via my website they will automatically receive an email that will explain how to setup their email, how they can access their domain before DNS updates have occured. You know just all of the info an end client may need. If someone can tell me how to do this or point me to a resource I would be greatful.

In h-sphere 2.4 you will be able to do this. Right now there is no way to do custom emails for customers. But it will send them a basic email with how to login to the cp and there DNS servers. Some thing we did and I have seen resellers do is put some links at the top of the CP to maybe a FAQ or other parts of there site..

When is H-sphere version 2.4 going to be released ?
Another Question..Do you know if Psoft one day is going to change the signup text, so it will include features like MSSQL etc...Some client starts the signup process, but when they can't find the features on the first screen, they leave (pretty annoying). Sometimes we are lucky that they are contacting us and asking us if the plan is including the features. Below is an example for a Hosting Plan with MSSQL+.NET+ASP, but no description about MSSQL,.NET,ASP . ------------------------------------------------------ You have chosen to subscribe to the xxxx Windows plan. The plan includes: Your own domain transferred from another provider; Your own virtual mail server including 20 free mailboxes; mail forwarding; mailbox aliases; mailing lists; autoresponders; Your own virtual web server (name or IP based hosting) including web statistics; CGI; Virtual host alias; SSL; FrontPage extensions; MIME Type; various types of logs; SSI; PHP; Custom Error Documents Your own anonymous FTP Server MySQL database support Monthly Fee: xxx.xxx ------------------------------------------------------ Or do we have to go though the work to make a custom signup page..I was reading about @ http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation...omization.html I would prefer to use the default H-Sphere signup page. |

To get around that I created an image that was 200x200 with my logo at the top and the text I wanted to appear and used it as my Signup Image URL under Look and Feel/Corporate Logo in the CP. The url is listed below so you can get an idea. It now appears in the left colum on each signup page at the top. FYI, since I have secured my cp, the image was placed in a secure directory so people don't get that annoying popup for "Some items on this page are not secure""

Gadgetgal99- Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't thing it will work...It will still confuse new clients that signup.
This on one side of the page ------------------------------------------------------ You have chosen to subscribe to the xxxx Windows plan. The plan includes: Your own domain transferred from another provider; Your own virtual mail server including 20 free mailboxes; mail forwarding; mailbox aliases; mailing lists; autoresponders; Your own virtual web server (name or IP based hosting) including web statistics; CGI; Virtual host alias; SSL; FrontPage extensions; MIME Type; various types of logs; SSI; PHP; Custom Error Documents Your own anonymous FTP Server MySQL database support Monthly Fee: xxx.xxx ------------------------------------------------------ And a logo in the other side of the page, that describe something else ? + You can't change the image, depending on which plan clients are signing up for. H-Sphere already lookup your plan details when you are using the signup link to a specific plan (ex.https://cp.xxxxxxxxxx.com:8443/psoft...nup/begin.html. It seems that H-sphere grabs all the specific details about the plan, but are only showing unix/freebsd specific details. If ex. you are trying to signup for a plan, without MySQL database, it will not show up...so hopefully psoft could correct this script one day to include Windows Plan Specific details (shouldn't be the hardest thing for them ).Last comment: of cause I have a storefront that shows all the details and pricing, but clients get confused then they press on the order button and they are brought to the H-Sphere signup page, which includes different details. |

We can't change what they decide to put there which is why I have the generic image.
