Router Switch Done!!

We made the router switch back over to the main router working with the PIX firewalls. Less then 15 sec downtime.

We will be working on HSRP ( Hot Standby Router Protocol ) this week as well. We will send out a notice before doing this small switch as it may cause just a few sec. of downtime as we change the IP address for the router so HSRP will work.

Once this is done we will have the fail over routers in place along with the fail over firewalls. Once all done we will also take a minutes to test to be 100% sure the fail overs do work as they should. Then next will be bring in new lines, we have anther 100MB coming from cogent we are also looking at Time Warner and a a few others as well. We have also been upgrading to gige on the network side some more as well. We have a few of the switch's over on gige now and looking to do a few more latter this year as well or if needed before then.
