phpBB problems

I've been having problems suddenly with my phpBB board. Without touching any settings at ALL on my server suddenly my board is broken, not updating any new posts as "new" or displaying proper post count or anything like that at all.

I was hoping for some help with a trouble ticket but the only response I got was that you haven't updated anything on your servers that would affect this service. Hopefully I can get some help, wondering how I can my board working again without having to delete and re-create a new one but if neccesary... *sigh*

Any help here?

did you think about restoring the database?.

(I assumed that you take back up of your phpBB database.)

the only recent changes were a security patch to all Windows boxes yesterday, but I don't see where that would have done anything.

As lankan says, if you have a current backup of your db, try restoring it.
