Vortech Customers :: IMPORTANT :: MUST READ

This morning we received a complaint that "Vortech" was using Yahoo Messenger to contact our customers. THIS WAS NOT US. We DO NOT support this feature. DO NOT respond to these individuals posing as Vortech Support/Billing/Sales. We will NEVER contact you concerning private information.

That being said. A little background information on this situation. An individual is posing as us under, I am sure, a variant of screen names to obtain credit card information and other private information. We have contacted the appropriate authorities on this matter and the issue is being dealt with accordingly.

This post is to make you aware of the situation. IF this is or has happend to you repsond to this post with the screen name and the messenging service fraudulently posing as an employee working on the behalf of Vortech business.

Just to make this CRYSTAL CLEAR. WE WILL NEVER TRY TO ACQUIRE THIS INFORMATION FROM YOU. DO not give this information out as it is private to you.

We have contacted the appropriate authorities on this matter and the issue is being dealt with accordingly.

That amazes me that someone would target a reseller forum, where most would assume to be internet savvy (know about not giving out info, etc)

I can only guess if they probably viewed the forums and target people who list their yahoo messenger info in their profile.

Would be nice to close off the forums to registered and approved users only, I have seen a few spam and 1 post users here lately.

If you cant do that, I would recommend my fellow resellers not to put any personal info in the forums.
