FTP Only Account - Urgent

Hi All,

A client wants a ftp only account by tomorrow (it is a well established company, so no problem). The client wants a simple setup where he can have a dedicated IP address and he can create userid's for his 4-5 employees. There is NO domain name attached to this account.

Problem:
1. I can not assign a dedicated IP as under 'Domain Settings -> Domain Info' there is no entry to assign a dedicated IP address.

2. Because, I have no dedicated IP I can create no Virtual FTP Server or Anonymous account

Any help solving this problem is appreciated.

You can go into the CP for one of your accounts. Select
Domains|Add a Domain|Stopgap Domain Registration
The edit the stop gap domain Turn off Web Services, Change to dedicated IP.

If your client requires multiple logins, you'll have to add the stopgap domain to a unix account, not a windows account.

And make the FTP pass different from the CP pass so they can't get in and turn web hosting on etc.

Doesn't that turn that existing cp acct into a dedicated ip acct.?

Yes, but you must change to dedicated if you want to use anonymous FTP at all.
