View Full Version : RoadMap
I was asked a lot what would be in the next releases:
1) Dedicated Servers - windows support should be done by the end of the month (at least a beta), linux & freeBSD - in a week or two after that
2) VDS suport - end of May.
3) Usage based disk quota menagement - end of April
4) Usage based reseller traffic - 2.1
5) Usage based disk quota for reseller - mid of April
6) Java/JSP support - April or May
7) WorldPay/PayPal support - unknown. We are still fighting it.
8) SiteStudio / osCommerce integration - Jun 2002
9) Complete mailsystem redesign - Jun 2002
10) Enom/Open Registrar API for synchronous registration of domains - April/May
11) Asynchronous domain registration - Jun 2002
12) Complete domain parking solution - Aug 2002
13) Easy point and click movement of the client from server to server - July 2002.
14) Jail support - July 2002
15) ServU ftp support (windows) - Apr
16) Windows web file manager - Jun 2002
17) Improved Reseller UI - May/Jun
Our todo list is mach larger, and there is larger number of small things that will be added as well (and few nice surprises, that I hope everyone will like).
That how we project it, and it looks realistic. Some of that staff will be delayed, something might be release ahead of schedule.

When all this becomes gradually available will the accounts be automagically updated? For free?
Yes every thing there that does apply to resellers should be free of charge as long as it is not some thing that cost us.. :)

Those features which you have said here, are not implemented yet, though the scheduled dates are gone.
Please let me know whether you will support these features in the near future.
Some of them have been put in. Some have been pushed back. H-Sphere is trying to push all of it out but trying to keep the bugs and problems down.

Don't forget about a "web protect" feature for the Windows CP, something similar to the Unix CP???
ASPSecure should be under your reseller palns now. That is some thing close to the web protect as well. Try that out should work ok for you.
Just curious on the status of integrating PayPal. How's the battle going?
I know we are getting a big update today as we are moving the CP servers around right now. We are going to 2.2. I only know of one new thing so far in this one and thats Echo. But there may be more can't tell till i get in there.

Hi,
Just thought I'd checkup on the VDS and when it would be available for resellers. I think it would be very useful for everyone who needs a little more flexability. I have seen a few other hosts offering VDS with H-sphere.

I'd be very keen on Dedicated Servers myself ... wow this is an old thread there anything on that list still not actually implemented? Java/JSP? .. Easy point and click server transfers .. guess thats there, not sure I'd call it "point and click" easy though *grin*
Old thread.. LoL
Have of that stuff it seems Psoft missed... High goles I guess.. LoL
VDS is in H-Sphere we have tested it in the version now but I think we will wait for 2.4 as it should be much better by then.. :)

Hello Brad,
Is it about time for a new "Road Map"? :D
As time allows I'd appreciate some insights into Hsphere 2.4 plans along with anything else you'd care to share.
Thanks for all that you do!

I know Brad has it all in his head but I'll I say what's up...
#1 Priority is getting the network as stable and as redundant as possible and getting a disaster recovery plan in place to minimize any downtime ... because adding features to hsphere isn't very fun if you can't get to the cp to use them.
#2 I'd say this is going to be the big TWO-FOUR as we call it here, and that would be 2.4 .
#3 Buying all the tech's iPod's since we are so dedicated (ok, this is a dream but I had to slip it in) :D :D
I'd say once 1 and 2 are done you will start to see the little things, but definately not before those two.

I would say that is plenty with the volume increase that has happened over time. Not to mention I would be very careful about promising stuf from psoft...their track record could be much better.
