View Full Version : Live Traffic Statistics
How (or what software) are the "Live Traffic Statistics" offered? Is it thorough? I am used to WebTrends... is it close?

for HSphere it's Webalizer (Windows) or ModLogAn or Webalizer (Unix). Not that great, but hopefully HSphere will support something better soon. We've all been hoping for that for a while.

yes, likely they would cost extra. Basically what I mean is that HSphere will support integrating stats other than what is currently there. PSoft is or has integrated Urchin already, but I don't know of the status here.
Matrix could easily add stats (in fact I think they've already purchased several hunders licenses of Urchin) but they cannot activate it until the CP (HSphere) supports their integration.

if you already have a licence version of webtrends or live stats 6.0, can you you just use that?

If you have a current version of Webtrends I know you can use it. It just has to run on a different server or box conected to the internet all the time. It conects via ftp, grabs the logs then processes them. You then can set it to upload the reports back to the webserver. The downfall... bandwith useage. I have mine set to only get logs once a day, and it still uses a lot of bandwidth. So for "live" stats useage, I am not sure it is the way to go, unless you have unlimitted bandwidth. Or unless I am doing it wrong... this would not supprise me either.
I don't know about Live Stats. I dont own a licence for that.
